Looking to plan a volunteer or intern project in Thailand for 2024? Great, our 2024 project start dates have now been posted! We have two sets of start dates (that partly overlap). One is for our teaching projects, which have more breaks due to the Thai school calendar, and the other is for all other programs. As in previous years, we close all of our projects for the month of April, due to most programs being unavailable because of school closures, the heat and Thai new year (Songkran) celebrations.
When looking at dates, please be mindful of possible program closures, due to national Thai holidays, of which, there are a lot! On these days many of our program sites are closed. So, this is great, as it may make a for a long weekend, but also is important for expectations.
All of our project start dates are Mondays, with volunteers and interns arriving on the Friday prior (between the hours of 8am and 8pm) to take part in our weekend orientation, which covers program details, how to stay healthy and safe in Thailand, half day city tour and cultural show and dinner! It’s a great introduction to Chiang Mai, and a good way to connect with the other people you will be taking part in the program with! As always, feel free to contact us with any questions regarding dates, or other items about our projects.
