Student Travel in Thailand

Journey to Thailand’s Rose of the North, land of ancient Buddhist temples, rice fields and jungle-clad mountains. Along the way, you and your students have the chance to bathe elephants, explore the jungle canopy on a zip line and learn the basics of Thai language, cuisine and martial arts.

We’ve hosted hundreds of volunteers from all over the world and plugged them into meaningful service projects in Chiang Mai. Despite our vast network and big-picture vision, we’ve maintained our small-company values and are eager to cater to your specific needs.

The Value of Student Travel

Volunteering in a cross-cultural environment lets students work together in meaningful ways to develop and strengthen international communities.

Factor in the chance to explore exotic cultures, learn new languages and forge meaningful continent-spanning relationships, and it’s easy to see why parents and teachers are so eager to create life-changing opportunities like this for young people.

When you sign up for one of Friends for Asia’s student service projects, you’ll be in good hands from start to finish. We do as much of the legwork as possible, coordinating with project sites, setting up your accommodation and arranging your transport. This takes the stress off of your team, so that you can invest as much of your energy as possible into volunteering, getting to know Thai culture and adventuring in the jungle.

The Perfect Student Trip – Educational, Meaningful & Fun

This is an adventure your students will be talking about for years to come, which can put a great deal of pressure on your project planners. At Friends For Asia, we understand how important it is to get everything right, and we’re committed to doing exactly that.

Volunteer Thailand Orientation 14

Friends for Asia is headed by an American teacher and former Peace Corp volunteer who has spent a decade working with students in Thailand. His insight into Thai culture, grasp of the language and experience working with young people makes him the perfect go-between for student groups visiting Thailand.

There are other groups that host students in Thailand. Many are running too many programs with too few staff, and they end up overextending themselves. We are committed to avoiding the factory-processed service packages that these groups deliver. We work with small groups, are personally acquainted with project leaders at our volunteer sites and will serve as your point of contact for the length of your service.
